COURSE OVERVIEW
Stress is the leading cause of absence in non-manual workers. In 2006-7
13.8 million working days were lost, and work related stress accounts
for 1/3 of all new incidents of ill health at an estimated cost to UK
industry of £12 billion/year. This course is designed to help
companies and their employees, prevent workplace stress where possible
and deal with it effectively if it occurs. Participants will develop
a greater understanding of how to prevent and manage stress for themselves
and, in the case of managers, for their teams as well.
Who should attend?
Anyone who manages others; employers now have a legal duty to take
action to prevent the occurrence of work related stress. Anyone who

to protect them self from the negative effects of their own stress and
defend them self from being affected by the stress of others
